"How Bad Do You Want It" (Blog #109)

When it comes to setting and attaining goals, how badly you want that goal will almost always dictate the outcome.  Having the skill to perform what needs to be done to complete a task is very important, but having the WANT to succeed is more important.  Wanting it badly enough is what will get you to do the things you need to do to ensure success.  New adventures are scary and can be overwhelming to many, but that's what makes them worth it.  

 

If you have a financial goal of saving ten thousand dollars this year (and you really WANT to save that much money), you will stop frivolous spending.  That goal of saving that kind of money will make you stop eating out so often, you will cut back on drinking at bars every week, you will stop those mid-night online shopping sprees, and you will be much more mindful of where your money is going.  If you don't do these things, your goal of saving ten G's is not going to happen.  Breaking your goal down into baby steps will only increase the odds of success...(Putting away about $192 dollars a week, will have you at $10,000 dollars by years end)

 

When you set a goal in your head you must then set a course of action, and more importantly, you must follow through with all the steps that will lead you to success.  But if you don't really want to attain that specific goal, you will find nothing but excuses.  Anything is truly attainable, putting limits on yourself is ridiculous and is great way to ensure failure.  If you want something, go out and do whatever it is that you need to do and just do it.  It really is that simple, the hours and intensity of work aren't simple, but once you plant that seed in your mind and you decide that you really want to succeed, you will do whatever it takes to succeed!
