With the new year approaching quickly, tis the season for weight gain. Now think about that for a second; the holidays bring us more drinking, more parties, more eating and usually less movement, and that leads to weight gain. The same can be said for the spring and summer months when most people lose weight; they move more and usually eat less. It's not rocket science, if you gain weight, you eat too much for the amount (or lack of) physical activity that you do everyday.
I won't insult your intelligence and sit here and tell you about the amazing benefits of broccoli and apples. You already KNOW what foods are good for you and what foods make you sluggish, fat and lazy. Your diet has a direct link to your body, your mood and your health.
Eating more protein, more water and less "doughy" carbs will lead to fat loss. Add weight training and some cardio to the mix, and you're going to look, act and feel like an machine. Portion sizes are insane these days, it's very easy to overeat even when you're trying to watch it closely.
