"Did You Know That Your Trainer..." (Blog #139)
Did you know that your trainer cares about you more than you think?
Did you know that your trainer loses sleep thinking about struggling clients?
Did you know that your trainer puts their clients wants and needs before their own?
Did you know that your trainer wants nothing more than every one of their clients to succeed?
Did you know that when you hit a strength goal, a weight loss goal, or any type of PR (Personal Record) in the gym, we are probably happier than you are?
A good coach wants nothing but the best for his clients. We want everyone who walks through our doors to leave happier than when they came in. This may not happen after every class or every personal training session, but it's always the goal and we strive for perfection each and every session. If clients knew how much we really cared, I think that it would create a higher success rate across the board.
If we don't see a client for a week or two, a good coach actually gives a shit and will reach out. If we're swamped and over worked (which is a daily occurrence), we may forget to reach out, but you are on our minds. We're hoping that you're ok and if you're not, we want to do something to help.
Most Coacher/Trainers were born with leadership qualities and want to make the world a better place. We get joy out of helping others succeed. Of course we are business owners as well and we make our living doing it, but money is never the reason you become a trainer.
Our main goal is to watch every single client reach their goals:
*When a client runs their first 5k, that's a success for us both.
*When we see a client get their first body weight chin up, that's a success for us both.
*When you watch a client smile after stepping off of the scale, that's a success for us both.
But that's a two-way street. When a client struggles, we struggle! When a client isn't getting better, that's a failure for us both!
When a client is willing to put their trust, time and effort into a coach, great things happen! The more honest and open clients are, the quicker these positive changes will take place!
Just know that there are people out here that actually give a shit about you and want nothing more than to see you succeed!
